Please note this is an old page and Fly Global Music has now moved. Please follow this link and search for the entry in the new site. Savvy old MTV are using it as part of a national environmental campaign and have got a bunch of children to appear in the video (see below). The 12” single features a drum and bass remix from The Qemists and the Ninja Tune YoYoYo young upstarts of the year, Spank Rock who get busy with a twisted electro mix. The Qemists sounds like a shop where you’d go for your prescription from Dr. Octagon but these are three guys from Brighton. They made their name in 2006 for the remixes of tracks from Coldcut’s Sound Mirrors, True Skool and ‘Everthing Is Under Control’. The Qemists have their own release coming out on Ninja Tune in March called ‘Stompbox’ which sounds like it could be a monster from the title alone. So one of the best tracks of the best hip hop album of the year The Return Of Dr. Octagon follows up the equally impressive ‘Aliens’ and one to make you think at this time of resolutions.
