Thunderheist - Nothing 2 Step 2 |

To be honest, this is so made for pop radio, even MC Isis refers to it as her “Madonna moment”; well you could throw in a few more divas but they’d be lucky to have the electro beats of Grahm Zilla behind them. Even from the videos, Isis shows that’s she’s more than just a rapper and singer and the pair of them began Thunderheist as a project to throw a wrench into static hip hop conventions and explore their love for the dancefloor whilst reinventing the electro rap of Arabian Prince and Egyptian Lover with more funk, R&B and Moroder-esque disco! Currently on tour in their native Canada but when they hit Europe in May/June they’ll be killing them at Kill Em All night with those electro popsters Filthy Dukes in London (now why didn’t they get Isis on their album Nonsense In The Dark?), the four deck controlled chaos of Birdy Nam Nam and Buraka Son Sistema in Paris and Crookers in Holland! As the second track the band has released from their debut Thundreheist, I hope there’s more tracks as good as this that Isis can step to. ‘Nothing 2 Step 2’ out 6th April with the album Thundreheist out 13th April.
