And now we’ve got Aniligital Music just keep pushing the limits and boundaries like we’re living in a disco black hole on mothership funk star date 2010 (Studio 54 time zone). I’ve just got to grips with Tal M. Klein’s disco-fantastic Magical Horses EP, the Brownout Slinky remixes and the low down funkin’ batcuda space house warp of Klein & Mansfield’s For Juan Five EP: love can turn around you know!.

And now we’ve got this gem of an EP. Kicking off with Skizzo Franick (whose recent remix for Ursula 1000’s ‘Star Machine’ has just been released on Eighteenth Street Lounge records) who speeds up ya 60’s funky organ breaks on ‘Sydney Chainsaw Love’ as if he’d been on Jonny Trunk’s OST show with a nice smattering of King Tubby on a funk trip with Sergio Mendes (Mr. DJ, watch out for the very sharp finish).

‘Chuckles Flavor’ is funked up MPC beats fit for Blaxploitation on the streets of San Francisco and chopped up like a DJ Kentaro slipmat. This production comes from “the funkiest man in Des Moines”, Manned Missiles but the best is saved until last with a previously unreleased classic from Tal himself.

‘Listen’ finishes the EP off with some Old Skool boogie to the boogie percussion and killer bass (think of The Simonsound at a disco circa late 70s with ‘Ring My Bell’ going on in the main room and you’re caught in the corridor in-between (come on now, we’ve all been there).
