Various - R.E.-Edits Volume 6

With half a dozen of these magnificent 12ers under his belt, the king of the R.E.-Edit is still showing the rest of ‘em how to do it, a must have for every conscious DJ that knows his stuff.

REEDIT06.jpg

It’s about time there was some more R.E.-Edit action and this is yet another killer 4 track EP.

The highlight is the Bobby Hutcherson´s classic and Carlos Niño favourite, ‘Hello To The Wind’ but we shouldn’t really forget how good D´Angelo´s ‘Left & Right’ is or what a great tracks Missy Elliot was producing back in the day and ‘4 My People’ is one of the best with “some dope piano bits”. To finish off, for the jazz heads Dimenzioni´s ‘Bamba’ is sounding as good as ever (if not better). All in all, four big thumbs up!

If you can still get your hands on any of the previous 12s, Dwele & Love Unlimited Orchestra - R.E.-Edits Volume 1, James Brown / David Bowie - R.E.-Edits Volume 2, American Gypsy / Erykah Badu - R.E.-Edits Volume 3, Love Unlimited & Angie Stone - R.E.-Edits Volume 4 and Myra Barnes, Common, Roy Hargrove and Erykah Badu - R.E.-Edits Volume 5 you must and I’m told that a CD is already out with all these great tracks on it.

Credit to the R.E. edit once again.
