Happy Birthday to Tru-Thoughts, 10 years young, a major achievement for any independent record label especially in these turbulent time of falling record sales, thoughtless free loaders/uploaders and distributors going bust (which happened to the label last year).
Fans of Tru-Thoughts with instantly recgonise Shapes 09:01 as a Robert Luis labour of love with the massive 29 track double CD showcasing all what’s best about the label and its wide range of artists.
I think it’s safe to say this is the most anticipated album of the year so far and every second of the 14 track Sessions album has been worth waiting for; a true meeting of fantastic jazz minds!
