There’s nothing like it when it comes to UK Soul legend Omar and if you listened to the latest Gilles Peterson show you’ll know that Omar’s latest album is monster when droppin’ names like Estelle, Angie Stone and Stevie Wonder!

Now, when I bumped into Gilles Peterson last week (prepare yourselves for his new haircut), I suggested the winner of album of the year. Like the old sage he is he replied, “We’ll see”. Now, was he thinking of Raphael Saadiq’s album that he was raving about last week? Well, I’m now thinking it’s another one of his favourite artists, Emanative’s debut Space!
The new single released is out on 9th April 2009 and finds the Solar Apple Quarktette more further out than usual with an Australian female in Soho after dark!
If you’re going to see Bonobo’s DJ set in Brighton tonight, watch out for members of the band that played at Koko to be in the audience as Audio is the place to be and to celebrate two new releases, the live DVD and a special 10″ remix that are both due out on Monday.
